Edmílson, full name José Edmílson Gomes de Moraes, is a Brazilian former football player who played as a central defender and defensive midfielder. He played for various clubs, including São Paulo, Lyon, and Barcelona, and was also a key player for the Brazilian national team. Over his career, he played 373 matches, including 39 matches for the national team, in which he scored 1 goal. Edmílson is also a winner of the FIFA World Cup (2002), the UEFA Champions League (2006), La Liga (2005, 2006) and Ligue 1 (2002, 2003, 2004)
